A question that we get asked often is: “What should my assistant be doing right now?” The answer is quite simple: support their REALTOR® and make them money. Here are some ways that an assistant can provide support to make more money:
What is it we really want from our support staff? I put a question out to my associates and friends asking them “if their assistant could do one thing to make their business rock, what would it be?” and here are the top answers that seemed to be a consensus...
Maintaining open channels of communication between team members can be challenging, especially if you are not in the office regularly. How do you share your ideas with others on your team? Email? Text messages? A little notebook? These are all great ways to keep track of ideas, events and tasks but how do you use them?
At the beginning of the year many people say that they are going to hold or attend regular meetings. Usually the first couple of weeks will go smoothly, but what happens when things start to get busier again? One of the first activities that falls by the wayside is holding and attending meetings. Only meetings that have a predefined structure will be able to stand the test of time. So how do you hold a meeting with a purpose?
Nina, it was an honour to have you as our teacher. You are providing such a valuable service to the real estate industry by creating the PRA Training program. Throughout your course, you have constantly acknowledged the important role the PRA assistant plays. It makes us feel good to have such recognition. You delivered the course in a professional manner. You stressed over and over to always respect the preferences of our own licensees. In the assignments, you made us think how we can self-improve to better serve our licensees and to benefit ourselves. You also made us think of a marketing plan that would benefit our licensee that we could actually accomplish this year. You taught us the tools to help our licensees run a smooth business which would help them grow.
The course was extremely organized. Nina, you created a family atmosphere in that class. You patiently allowed us to bombard you with all sorts of questions. You were always approachable and accessible before the course even started, during the class, and after class hours. We are going to miss you. We can't thank you enough.
