PRA™ Curriculum
What to Expect

Throughout our intensive programs, students will receive well planned, hands on instruction focusing on the real estate transaction.
During courses, students can expect:
- comprehensive training materials that build knowledge and skills;
- instruction from industry professionals with many years of experience and knowledge;
- an integrative, multidimensional approach to learning, which uses instruction, hand outs, small groups and role playing to deliver lessons;
- a detailed understanding of the rules, regulations and limitations a PRA™ must abide by;
- small class sizes allowing for an intimate and interactive experience; and
- guest speakers, including industry experts.
At the end of the training, students will receive a certificate of completion. They will also benefit from PRA™ Training’s job board, networking opportunities and ongoing support.
Graduates can expect:
- a support system and job search tools linking them to potential employers that understand the value of PRA™ Training;
- a valued career as an unlicensed Professional Real Estate Assistant;
- skills and foundational knowledge that can be applied to various facets of the industry;
- tools, templates, systems and a portfolio; and
- networking and support.
PRA™ Training courses require full attendance and participation, completion of all activities and assignments, and passing a final examination to receive a PRA™ certification of completion.
PRA™ graduates, while earning a knowledgebase for success as an unlicensed Real Estate Professional, are not licensed REALTORS®. To become licensed, PRAs must take courses through the UBC Sauder School of Business and then write the licensing exam before applying for a license from the Real Estate Council of BC.
What You'll Take Away
Unlike a REALTOR®, a PRA™ has the ability to choose to work stable hours, and receive consistent pay and benefits, without the risk of market peaks and valleys. Receiving a certificate of completion from PRA™ Training ensures credibility with REALTORS® looking for fully trained staff.
Graduates typically work for a brokerage, for one or many REALTORS® or for themselves as a freelance PRA™. The work is flexible and varied and includes database management, records management and marketing.
