Friday, September 4th, 2009 Vancouver, B.C. - This past year’s recession has left many workers under-employed and unemployed, searching for stability in other roles or seeking emerging opportunities as we transition into a more positive time. A profession that is once again on firm footing is real estate. As homes sales regain their record-breaking momentum, industry professionals are increasingly looking for good help who can join their team and hit the ground running. This has made the Professional Real Estate Assistant an in-demand career option. Currently in British Columbia, there is a lack of training programs for Professional Real Estate Assistants. REALTORS® who are busy enough to require an assistant typically don’t have the time to train their assistants. PRA™ Training, a new two-weekend, six day, training certificate program is being held at Simon Fraser University downtown campus - and it couldn’t have come at a better time. "Our Foundations training program provides students with the knowledge, expertise and training to work as unlicensed assistants for a range of professional including REALTORS®, appraisers, property managers and real estate brokers," says Nina Campbell, founder of PRA™ Training. The certificate program and is now being held monthly. The next Professional Real Estate Assistant course starts the weekend of October 16th. PRA™ Training is the first course of its kind to provide affordable training to emerging Professional Real Estate Assistants. Our program will prepare you with the knowledge, job-ready skill set, and confidence to hit the ground running in the often complex and evolving industry of real estate.
