The Care and Maintenance of Your Team
While training the other day, I found myself giving the analogy of a team being equivalent to a standard transmission car, where the synchronicity of the gas and clutch together enable a smooth, or bumpy, ride.

Whether your team is your helping family members, outsourced providers, or employees, they become to business owners, a group of individuals that the business relies on. Successful businesses are those that create an environment in which these groups understand and contribute to the greater whole, and work towards the vision. Your team's ability to deliver consistent excellence becomes one of the most important key elements for a successful growing business. So, where to start?
Clearly communicate your vision and goals for your business;
  • create an environment where the team members' contributions are valued and respected;
  • be clear about your expectations with detailed job descriptions and policies; and
  • celebrate success.
There is no better strategy than to have genuine interest in the well being of your team.
