Most of us get into real estate because of a dream. A dream to be our own boss, to sell people into their perfect home, the freedom to set our own hours, or the dream of living a comfortable lifestyle.
What is your dream? Are you living it now?
It’s really easy to let time, commitments, sidetracks, growth and lack of it interfere and taint all the reasons we wanted to become a real estate professional.
I met with a team in Kitsilano yesterday who, I think, really had it all together. They were interviewing me on my real estate assistant program and all of them sat with me, engaged, and walked the talk that they were a team wanting to be on the same page. Their synergy was magnificent. When I asked them what their secret was, they told me that they had all gotten into real estate because their dream was to make a difference in the service they offered clients. The rest, just fell into place.
Some things to consider:
- Clear your plate and ask yourself “Why did/do I want to be a real estate professional?”
- “What is my dream, how did I envision it?”
- “If I am living my dream, how do I keep enjoying it?”
- “If I am not living my dream, why? What is stopping me?”
Real estate is a profession, a career, a way of life. Is it what you thought it would be?
